Cookbook Club: Exploring Food in Your Backyard with Author Tracey Medeiros

This month we'll join Rooted in Vermont and the Vermont Department of Libraries for their week long celebration of local food.  This year's theme is "Exploring Food in Your Backyard! Grow It. Hunt it. Find it."  With that in mind we have selected The Vermont Non-GMO cookbook : 125 organic and farm-to-fork recipes from the Green Mountain State by local author Tracey Medeiros.  We are excited to announce that Tracey Medeiros will be joining us for this special celebration of local food!

Cookbooks are available in the library and all you need to do is pick your recipe and sign up! Cook the dish and bring it to the meeting to share with other chefs.  Our wonderful cookbook club is facilitated by Bill Wargo!

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is hosting a lifestyle event called the Contemporary Social, a festive evening celebrating culture, cuisine and craft.  Tracey will be the featured author at the event.  She will be discussing The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook and The Vermont Non-GMO Cookbook.  The author reception will also include an Author Q & A, book signing, and food samples from the cookbooks.

The Readable Feast Awards 2018

BOSTON — The Readable Feast is an annual culinary book festival designed to celebrate and support New England’s deep and talented pool of writers, cookbook authors, editors and chefs, and connect them with the reading public. The awards ceremony is a celebration of the best culinary-themed books, cookbooks and writing each year by New England authors on cooking, regional food, food history, memoir, beverage and spirits, sustainability, and social issues; or books written about New England culinary themes. The Lifetime Achievement honorees and food writing finalists are instrumental in bringing people together to encourage reading, cooking, and supporting the New England economy.
